Sammy and Jonny had SO many ups and downs with their wedding but in the end it couldn't have been a more perfect fairytale! Moving their wedding due to the pandemic, then having to switch venues after the flooding made them feel like everything was against them. In the end they both agreed that their winter/disney wedding was everything they dreamed of!
What made it even better was that her shoes when clicked together at the heels LIT UP!! GUYS, THEY LIT UP!!! How amazing is that?!
Not to mention the super cute Cinderella clutch, and the HANDMADE Disney bouquet which Sammy and her Aunt worked so hard on! The bouquet was not the only Disney flowers, just wait until the reception.
The bridesmaids crew then had a little fun before Sammy got into her dress. Thankfully it was before as there was a bit of a mess! I promise, we cleaned it up...as best we could...LOL.
Sammy's sister (Coralee) and mother (Linda), are the only two helping with jewelry and lacing up the dress so the others would have a first look! Coralee jumped in with the bridesmaids anyways, she knew she could pull off an amazing reaction.
From the hotel we all headed to the venue, Jubilee Hall in Aldergrove! It's a super cute space, with half being a ceremony area and the other being reception seating. It was perfect for their friends and family ceremony!
As soon as the ceremony was finished the newlyweds and bridal party embraced the cooler weather for photos outside! They planned for it to possibly rain, so we had the addition of tiny umbrellas which matched perfectly.
The bridal party ran straight inside to warm up while Sammy and Jonny got their photo on! We were so happy to see the sun peak out during their portrait session so we stayed out until it disappeared.
We packed up and headed inside to join everyone for some family photos in the recently cleared dance floor!
We then headed full force into the reception! The timeline was moved around a bit due to dinner being a little late but it was for good reason, just wait until you see what the main course was.
After some heartfelt and hilarious speeches, dinner was ready! You are not going to believe that they had a WHOLE PIG at their wedding. Pictures for proof of course! It was so different and everyone loved it!
After dinner we moved onto the cake cutting and first dances!
The rest of the night was history! Filled with lots of dancing and laughs.
I'm so happy that even with a ton of things seemingly against Sammy and Jonny they still got to have their dream day! Not many have a Winter AND Disney themed wedding, but I have to say nothing could have gone better. Congrats to the newlyweds!
